  • BOOSH LIVE 1st Nov. Birmingham nia

I cannot believe how just being there made me feel completely wondrous, it was a spectacular performance, and as it was my first Boosh Live show I can say that I was incredibly impressed.

I'm not going to go in any order, I might mix things up and whotnot, I'm just going to try and remember everything.

When I first saw Julian and Noel come in on those rather 'fancy' boats, (well, in Noel's case anyway!) my whole body tingled with excitement, and I don't know why but I started to shake a bit, like you do when you're nervous for a audition/job interview etc.
I soon calmed down after they started having a bit of banter about the size of the transport.
There were quite a few hecklers/idiots in the crowd. After they stopped talking about the boats, someone shouted, 'Noel you're fit!' Noel laughed and said, 'Not really I can't even do two press-ups!'.
When the Crack Fox came on, someone shouted something, (I don't think anyone knew what it was!) and in his character Julian retorted, 'Don't talk or I'll hurt you!'
And there was where someone insisted on shouted 'OUTRAGE' while Harrison was on and Noel told the guy he'd ffed up his punchline, then told it again and ending it by saying, 'see, it works so much better when you don't *imitates person moaning screaming*'
The Dance Academy was amazing, everyone got up on their feet and had a go... t'was tremendous!
Ok, I know bits will come back to me but I'm going to just now think of the things I can remember in no particular order.

The Hitcher was fab, as he jumped down into the crowd and started to weave his way to the 2nd top shelf and commented on how it was a 'flea circus' or something like that, and a man had just come back and Noel asked him if he needed to find his seat.
Then he kept getting closer to the right-hand side and came down the aisle and as he passed me, he turned around, touched my fringe and says, 'What-a fringe! You've had the straightners through that love, yeah I can tell.' I just nodded while laughing a bit too enthusiasticly, and I kind of melted a bit.
Eels was brill, although I was slightly scared Noel might fall off as he had trouble wriggling onto the eel of a beast.

After buying a programme, nipping off to the loo, grabbing myself a poster and a Nabootique shopping bag, it was time for the second half. I felt it was going all too quick for my liking, and I felt the need to try and catch everyone's eye who were onstage, I think I got a few glimpses and the light was near my face but I think it was just my imagination, like when the moon does his part, it looks like he just fixed on you, eventhough he isn't.

The Crack Fox was truly brilliant, his nose came loose and he made a joke of it while telling his terrible tale of the past.

Sunflaaaaaaash, was great. That laugh! ?Boobalay? was also amazing, the mutant makeover was hilarious and I slightly drooled over Julian in that doll attire just a bit

After excecuting the Honey Monster, all was almost at an end.
Harrison bumming the 'playgeristic ?bastard?' Something along those lines...

Eleanor came out and did various bingo callings and threw the balls into the crowd.
After calling the last number '666'.
Everyone was in awe of the Nanageddon setup, I think most people were a bit wary of getting up to the front, so the front row stood up which meant most people behind them had to, and by the end in 'i did a shit', everyone was on their feet half dancing/half headbanging along. After the first nanageddon song, Noel told us, 'it seems ?Barratt? has broken his guitar strap!'

They all said their thank-you's, and Noel disappeared quite quickly but as the curtains closed Julian and Dave ?I think? gave everyone a wave.

I couldn't believe what I had just seen, it was just simply fantastic.
They better do some more live material in the future, defintely worth going to see!

p.s- oh I only managed to get a picture of the curtain before I got caught, so there's no pictures from me, apart from the ones I took of my fabulous merchandise.
